Patti Wright-Shoemaker, owner and trainer of Winterview Farm, is a 1978 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi School of Music. She and her husband, Jimmy, live on the 30 acre facility providing 24-hour security and supervision of all activities. Having grown up in the hunt country surrounding Leesburg, Va., Patti was fortunate to have trained with leading professionals throughout the United States. Founder, former President and Board Member of the Mississippi Hunter Jumper Association, she is the first and only Mississippian to be licensed by the United States Equestrain Federation as an “R” judge in Hunters, Hunt Seat Equitation and Jumper Divisions. She also is current with the United States Olympic Committee as having completed the Safe Sport Training Program and the Red Cross CPR and Life Saving Courses. She is also an Equine Appraiser with the American Society of Equine Appraisers. Winterveiw Farm is home of three Interscholastic Equestrian Teams, Jackson Academy, Winterveiw Farm and St. Andrews Episcopol School. Over the years, Patti has trained both horse and rider to State, Regional and National level competition. Some of these horses include Even Steven, Aries, Crush, MTM Honey Bee, Gambur, Just Dessert, MTM Lavender Haze, Key West, Donato, Holding the Dream, Brown Eyed Joe, MTM Maverick, Escada and Ikonic. Currently training numerous riders, she is an active participant in the United States Equestrian Federation, United States Hunter Jumper Association, Mississippi Hunter Jumper Association, Louisiana Hunter Jumper Association and numerous Medal organizations.
